What can I say...this place is AMAZING!!! The service is excellent and the owners take great care to ensure the guest is taken care of. The food was exceptional! My party enjoyed Burgers cooked perfectly, Chicken Fried Steak as good as it gets and a Taco Salad that was very fresh and seasoned perfectly. The sides were abundant and diverse. Awesome onion rings.
If you are in for a artery clogging experience(in a good way) This place probably had one of the best chicken fried chicken and cheeseburgers I have ever had , very old fashion and very good portion size. The wait was worth it 100 percent because everything was made to order. The prices were very fair as well. The only downside was it was very busy and the poor lady was struggling to keep up but you were able to fill your own drinks if you wanted to. So overall I will be back again and again !!
I always drove by this place on Hwy 19, but never at the right time. This time I made it and it was a really good, hot meal at a decent price. I'll definitely have to make it a point to stop in again. I'll always support local and I will be back for sure. Eating good in the East Texas hood!
We were wanting to try this cafe after passing it several times on 175. Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried okra were absolutely delicious! The young lady assisting us was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Family-friendly, eating alone, or groups. Prices were very good.
Excellent food and service. How many times have you ordered Tea and it tasted like muddy water, not here! Fresh Tea, chicken fried steak was meat and not all batter. Froed Okra, what can i say when you order another serving.
The food was actually pretty good this time. I’ve been there before when it wasn’t that great. The service wasn’t that great but the food was excellent this time. Hopefully they can do better next time. I’m in Texas.
The food was great and exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was clean, and though it seems that they need to hire more help, the one person that was there running the register and the dining room was great, keeping attentive and keeping a good, steady pace despite being alone.
We stopped in for lunch traveling from Palestine to Malakoff. My wife had chicken strips, and I had a hamburger and both were delicious. We really enjoyed our meal, and the service was great. The prices are good, so this was a great value. We will definitely stop in again.
